Amorphophallus paeoniifolious（疣柄魔芋）

One of the member under the genus Amorphophallus which famous with producing a huge single leaf and a huge inflorescence. Amorphophallus paeoniifolious will produce a tall and large leaf. After the growing season, the plant will go dormant, leaving the tuber underground for a few months and sprouts again. Sometime before it sprouts, it produce a large inflorescence instate of leaf. The inflorescence (consist of a huge spathe and a spadix) will take a few weeks to develop and only bloom for two days. The true flowers are small, arrange at the spadix.

A herbs with strong smell. The Malays call it 'Bangun-bangun'. Some people call it Indian Mint. Chinese call it 到手香. This is a varigated form. Billbergia 'Strawberry'

A genus under the bromeliaceae family (commonly known as Bromeliads). Same family with the pineapple.

Billbergia not commonly seen in Malaysia market. The leaves of Billbergia grow up right and form a 'vase like shape'. The middle of the 'vase' act as a 'tank' for the plant to collect water for survival. 

Billbergia 'Strawberry' grow well under high light intensity. With more light the leaves can turn to more reddish colour. Very easy to grow, just make sure the 'tank' got water and water when the planting media is dry. Place in area with more sun light.
